Solid edge glued panel is a rectangular shaped sheet (panel) made of solid wood. It is made by gluing together identical wooden planks (lamellas).
Oak wood is dense, heavy and decorative - all the reasons why oak is widely used in furniture manufacturing and carpentry. On account of oak's hardness, its products are known to be resistant against physical damages, scratches and dents. For wooden tables, kitchen tops and sturdy bookshelves, oak is a brilliant material, but it can be used just the same for stairs, window sills and other design pieces. Grade (Class) A/B means that one side or top surface (A) of the board is moderately mottled, without branches, cracks and other defects. Small, live knots and point branches are acceptable. The other side or underside (B) is distinctly mottled with well defined tonal differences. On the underside (B), live branches and pronounced fiber knots are acceptable.
Wood moisture: 9-11%
Standard: solid edge glued panel is made according to the European standard D3-DIN/EN 204, EN 13353
Packaging: each panel is wrapped in a separate foil that protects the wood from rapid changes in the relative humidity of the air.
