Solid edge glued panel is a rectangular shaped sheet (panel) made of solid wood. It is made by gluing together identical wooden planks (lamellas).
Oak wood is dense, heavy and decorative - all the reasons why oak is widely used in furniture manufacturing and carpentry. On account of oak's hardness, its products are known to be resistant against physical damages, scratches and dents. For wooden tables, kitchen tops and sturdy bookshelves, oak is a brilliant material, but it can be used just the same for stairs, window sills and other design pieces. Grade: A/B: quality-wise similar to A/A grade, but cheaper. One side (A) is evenly toned, without large wood knots, cracks or other defects; might have small live knots or branch dots. The other side (B) has tone differences, might have live knots, pronounced fibers around knots and sapwood.
Wood moisture: 9-11%
Standard: solid edge glued panel is made according to the European standard D3-DIN/EN 204, EN 13353
Packaging: each panel is wrapped in a separate foil that protects the wood from rapid changes in the relative humidity of the air.
